Gorillas are outnumberd by ally cats.

All you have to do to connect with gorillas is to meet them in person. Tried to when in Uganda in Sept (Habitat) but all permits were sold. Did track chimps - fantastic!

I believe that people do care about Gorillas, but most people are far removed from them. Last summer, I interned at Farm Sanctuary in California. I have always cared about goats, cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, sheep,...but after I spent time with them and got to know them as individuals- it's like they soaked into my soul. We need to think of ways to help people connect with animals at that deep level.
