Dogs Deserve Better
P.O. Box 23
Tipton, PA 16684
Description:
Dogs Deserve Better is a nonprofit organization dedicated to freeing the chained dog, and bringing our 'best friend' into the home and family. Dogs Deserve Better, 2003 First Place Winner of the ASPCA/Chase Pet Protector Award, is a voice for chained and penned dogs, whose sadness speaks only through the eyes. As the days become years, many of these dogs sit, lay, eat, and defecate within the same 10-foot radius. Chained by the neck, they exist without respect, love, exercise, social interaction, and sometimes even basic nourishment. They live as prisoners, yet long to be pets.

If this finds any homes,we do the rest. We have a large colony we are starting on tomorrow, and neighbors are complaining, so it will be better to move some of them.

Thank you! we have posters that we put in feed stores, as people with horses etc are usually the ones who dont mind giving a few ferals a home. I can send you a link to the poster tomorrow, and perhaps you could print it and post it up somewhere?

Its just a long shot, but hought I would ask...we are in Maryland, but right on the D.C. Border, and there are tons of ferals in cities that could use a farm home, so if ever you do hear of anyone, let us know?

We do live in a rural area. I'm not sure if people would be looking for barn cats, but there is always that possibility.

Hey Cory, do you live in a rural area where folks may have barn homes for city ferals? The cats are always spayed/neutered and vacs.

I will definitely look you up. The Chain Off isn't until June 28-29, so I have a few weeks left.

If you're on Care2, please note http://www.care2.com/news/member/409261606/763327

It's promoting the breast cancer site's June promotion...if they get 8 million clicks this month, they'll raise an additional $10k from their premier sponsor. Thanks!
