Description:
Neighborhood Cats believes Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is the most humane and effective method available to end the severe feral cat overpopulation crisis faced by this country. Our mission is to make TNR a fully understood, accepted and practiced method in every community. To accomplish our goals, we work on both the local and national levels. In New York City, where we are based, we have guided the development of one of the most comprehensive community-wide TNR programs in existence today. To promote TNR nationally, we have created award-winning educational materials, including books, videos and online courses. We produce the annual National Feral Cat Summit – the only national conference focused exclusively on feral cats. We host one of the leading websites in the field, present at conferences and seminars throughout the country, and regularly collaborate with other organizations interested in TNR to develop new materials and tools. Tens of millions of cats living and reproducing on the streets and struggling to survive is today’s reality. Neighborhood Cats is determined to make sure the same is not true tomorrow.

JFK Port Authority is still waging war on the feral cat. Employees are threatened to be fired if caught feeding a cat, and over Memorial Day the hunt to kill was on. Please sign petitions and help change the misguided methods of controlling feral cats.
